  • Welcome to my blog!

Hi folks! My name is Rebecca! I am a full time mom to a super sweet boy (with another munchkin on the way), and a part time photographer. Have a look around, and if you like what you see, click the "contact" link and drop me an email! My scheduling availability is limited, so the earlier you contact me about a session, the better! I look forward to hearing from you!

Holly + Cameron | Engaged

I’ve been looking forward to this session for a long time! If I remember correctly, Holly had me in mind to be her wedding photographer for a while. We met at Sara Sara Cupcakes for our initial consultation, and hit it off immediately. I just love this girl! We discussed options for her engagement, bridal, and wedding photography over cupcakes and coffee. The next time I saw Holly was over dinner with Cameron along for the ride–and like him just as much as Holly! They have great chemistry, as can be seen in these photos.

I am SO looking forward to her bridal session and wedding. We have an AMAZING location picked out for the bridals…stay tuned!

The story behind the photo below: This is where they first started dating. How precious is that?!

These grain elevators used to be owned by Cameron’s grandpa. More history!

And this windmill is on Holly’s grandma’s land. Also, thank you God for the fantastic sunset!

Shattuck Family

I’ve been in contact with Brittany for a while discussing their needs for a shoot. At the time she first contacted me, her husband was in Afghanistan, but he recently came home for 2 weeks of leave. While he was here, they spent an evening with me taking pictures with their 4 month old daughter. It’s only the second time he’s seen Madalynn since she was born. So precious!  Oh, and you MUST check out the unique homecoming Brittany planned for Darren in the following news story!

Brady Girls

Rebecca contacted me through an agape session submission. Her story was so touching, that not long after receiving her submission, I contacted her about getting something scheduled. I am not able to do many of these sessions at a time, but her story was enough to provoke me to slip in another session.

I’m very privileged, in that I get to hear some very inspiring and amazing stories through these submissions. Rebecca’s was a true story of perseverance and beating the odds. For privacy reasons, I won’t publish the details of every story, but trust me when I say: Rebecca is an amazing lady!

Thank you to the Brady girls for such a fun evening. We couldn’t have asked for a better location, or better lighting. I mean, just look at that lighting! Plus, butterflies. Everywhere. Just lovely!

I think these are some of my favorite pics ever that you’ve taken. The lighting was spectacular!

I know Rebecca and you have captured her perfectly!

Roth Family | Agape Session

As many of you know, I’ve started a new program where I select families with unique situations and give them a free session and prints. Individuals can self nominate, or nominate someone they know who they feel are deserving. Below is a portion of the entry form I received for this session:

What circumstance(s) make you/them a good candidate for an Agape Session? My mother, Janus Roth, is a total giver. She has adopted 7 children out of foster care, runs a 24 hour child care out of her home. She has 10 children besides the 7 that she has adopted. We have been trying for years and years to get her something that would be worthwhile and VERY meaningful to her. We have tried for the Extreme Maker Home edition and they said they can’t do two story houses:(my mom first have a terminal illness but in the past two years she has had a knee replacement that we just found out is recalled, she has had thyroid cancer and had it removed three times already and just found out that it has spread to her lymph-nodes which is very very dangerous as it can spread all around her body. My mom goes to church every single Sunday, volunteers there and at the elementary school where my brothers and sisters go. She is a very kind, loving, generous soul that Never gets time for herself. She has always said that she would LOVE to go on a very big family reunion type cruise because, since adopting the 7 children, the entire family hasn’t been together at one time. My mom loves her family literally more than she loves anything else so I think this would be the greatest gift for her.

By show of hands, who teared up a little bit when they read this? ::raises hand::

Okay, I will admit I was a little nervous about this session. I mean, that’s a BIG group of people. Sure, not all of the older kiddos could make it for the session, but count it out…there were still 14 people! I deal with groups way bigger than this at weddings all the time. But a regular session is a bit different, and I was a little intimidated. The moment this session started, I knew it was going to be grand. This is one of the most energetic and fun groups of people! I had a blast with these folks, and I think they had a pretty good time as well.

What’s a family session in the park without a little duck duck goose? Did I mention they are SUCH a fun family??

Thank you so much to the Roth family for, well, being you!
