Ashley + Austin | Engaged

I am so excited to shoot this awesome couple’s wedding next month. But first, let’s have a look at their engagement pictures! We had a really great time shooting these!

AAfter taking the shot below, I realized we had a lurker in the background. Can you spot him??

He hung out and watched while we shot the rest at this location.:)

Thanks for a great session, you two!

Martin Family

I first met this family in California at Jodi and Tim’s beautiful vineyard wedding (see photos here). Natalie attended one of my workshops, then soon after asked for me to take pictures of her family. We met on the OU campus, and spent an hour snapping photos while they played (and did some posing…just a little…). Brett was completely fascinated with the busses that kept passing by, and continuously said “more bus!” when they weren’t in sight. It took this little guy some time to warm up to me, but eventually mom and dad had him running, playing, and laughing. Thanks to the Martins for a great session!

Giblet Kids

This shoot happened the same day Oklahoma temperatures decided to take a nose-dive. Those of you who live in this great state know all about these types of days–cold in the morning, hot in the afternoon. And it was a rather chilly one. Frantically, I contact Jessica just about an hour before the session to see if we needed to have the session a little later, but she just changed up their outfits to something warmer and we headed out. I’m so glad we kept the time, because the lighting was perfect for these little girls. But I don’t think it would have mattered too much. Kids this cute make bad lighting look good.

Hi Rebecca,
We chatted over the summer about my daughter Kaitlin’s senior pictures. I was curious if you knew how the scenery was at this location and if you had any shots already taken. I went to the website of Whispeing Pines, but it does not show very much…
Let me know… Mary Heriford

Sarah Simpson | Miss Elk City 2011

I’m currently working on some design work for upcoming things…one of which is Miss SWOSU. Those of you who know me are aware that I was the co-director of the pageant for a few years. Really, I was the assistant to the director. Debbie did an amazing job, and helped where I could. My busy job schedule eventually got the best of me and I had to resign, but the transition was flawless, seeing as how Debbie was doing almost everything anyway! I love Debbie!

I got a little off. Back to the design work.

I’m working on an ad for the Miss SWOSU pageant book, and decided to use a picture from a shoot I did with Miss Elk City 2011, Sarah Simpson. She was also Miss SWOSU 2010, so I know her quite well. I absolutely adore the photos from this session. Upon sorting through the folder of photos, I noticed there wasn’t a “blog” folder, which means I never blogged these beautiful photos. How dare I?!

Me: In my defense, I did put some on facebook.
Prosecutor: Objection, irrelevant.
Judge: Sustained. The jury will disregard the last statement. Continue.

So I decided it was high time this beautiful lady and these beautiful photos made their mark on the world. I present to you, Miss “I’ll tell you what she wins once pageant season starts because she most certainly will win something again” 2012!

These are lovely!

The first image in the laundromat is my favorite. I am obsessed with shoots in laundromats yet I have never done one. Waiting for the right one I guess. :)

Nice job :)
